This is a list of all of the creations in this category posted on the Fraxy Compendium Redux. This is the page containing all of the Trys.

  • What is considered a Try? These are special scenarios that are created via a text file and is written using several Fraxy methods. There are examples included within Fraxy under the Try folder.

Image positron boss rush A small try file in the fast and classic Fraxy boss rush style. It contents 3 changing areas (BG`s) and 7 boss fights. The Target is to get a high score rate in a short time. But the timing isn`t real important, because it`s a pseudo timer - you have definitely enough time.

Much more important: if you are wondering, that nothing happens after defeating the first opponent, find and destroy the rest of his drones. Sometimes they aren`t easy to find on the radar, but they are still moving some where. That`s all.

Have some fun, beating these robotic alien slime (maybe without losing a continue ;).

Aiming to built a story around my builds, failing miserably in producing anything original and hopefully boring.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Apparently the weapon counts have been changed from the making of these tries, and therefore the weapons are not as intended. Unfortunately I am too lazy to fix this problem. The problem is important at least in Kamarian battlegrounds 1, where the only weapon should be stun bullet.
  • Secondly in the new beta versions parts, when destroyed, do not anymore deal their full max health as damage to their mother parts, which causes some malfunctions (probably alot) in the tries. again, I´m too busy/lazy to search and correct the problems.
  • To fix these problems use the last full version or, even better, the oldest version with events.

Image Invasion part 1: After the Battle

You have participated in a decisive battle against the Kamarians near the Plut. They attempted to invade the Pluto in order to get a footing on our solar system and succeeded. You were captured, tortured and sent for demolishment. Now your job is to run and live to fight another day.

I find this series of tries relatively hard, not having beaten one of the invasion series without a death. Still a very enjoyable battle.

Image Invasion part 2: Attacking the Turret

Having escaped you are equipped and sent to act as a part of the first counter attack to reclaim the moon.

Pretty much as hard as the first part but in my mind otherwise much more successful in entertaining.

Image Invasion part 3: Assaulting the Core

Most of the attacks on the defensive turrets fail miserably, so another approach must be taken. You are sent to demolish the Core of Kamarians station, alone. Only a sharp, silent attack can succeed, so do your best.


Third part gets a bit harder and the pattern starts to get old, since this part is still made with pretty much the same ingredients as the second and first parts. I have many plans for the Fourth installation, and it will take some more time to be finished. Still this one is worth the time, too.

Starting a new series, the Kamarian Battlegrounds, to give a plate for any single boss ideas I might have along the way while making trys. The first two are the beginning of our lead characters journey into the Kamarian entertainment business as a gladiator of the future and the other installations are in-a-way out of timeline. I have also decided to leave the final battle open so the next ones will be of time right after the escape of our hero from the Kamarian media ship.

Image[Dead File] Kamarian battlegrounds part 1, the realization

The work of my newfound ability and skill with the try system, including new functions as the flashes use in background for text, changing the color and font of the text and experimenting with stun bullet.

The story originates straight from the end of the Invasion series and consist of our human hero finding him-/herself part of Kamarian entertainment after having destroyed the important mobile Invasion ship on the Pluto. Survival is up to you.

NOTE: due to the changes made in the players weapons and their order, this try does not function properli and is unbeatable. the weapon used should be stun bullet.



P.S: any feedback on my work will be appreciated and is wished for. Please, comment if its not too much trouble.

Image[Dead File] Kamarian battlegrounds part 2, the proving Second and much more simple and more traditional try that has its focus on the final meeting between you and GRohkJrtEd.


Trying new things particularly with bullet colours and in-fight speech.

Kamarian battlegrounds part A, Coloured Gladiators First of my idea in making the Battlegrounds a place of different kinds of theme fights, this time playing with bullet colours. Nothing special, only your basic line of boss enemies built quickly, but worthwhile thanks to the difficulty that should be enough for the toughest of veterans. Still it does not mean indestructible parts or impossible angles but the need of knowing when to fire and when to evade. No?
Kamarian battlegrounds part B, Captured vessels A try built to show my previous work, bosses made for fun, not for trys, this not meaning I do not enjoy trys. way longer than anything I´ve done before with a total of eleven bosses.

In this try for the first time I took tileable backgrounds from other places than the original trys.

Kamarian battlegrounds part C, Tailed evil-doers An all new addition to the Battlegrounds series! unreleased and unedited for difficulty this part C of our human hero's ventures into the world of this Kamarian battle-sport, where every spaceship will fall to a bigger cannon. Including four made just for this bosses, untested and unrivaled in stamina, including the kinds of Taker and Golden End will surely stop you from ever completing this try without deaths, or even with ten for that matter.

Two of the backgrounds have to be manually turned into .BMP bitmaps due to size reasons. This can easily be done with opening the picture with even Paint, saving as... and then selecting the .bmp as the files form. Shouldn´t be hard.

Image Future of destruction part 1: Escape and reality

You have just beaten the best Kamarians have to offer, but the last one, the mighty CHAMPION was too much for the system, it broke down the arena and more, now you have the chance to escape. Flee and find out what has happened... it is your destiny, your mission.


This is a fraxy try without bosses. sounds crazy, but it is true, there is not one beatable bad guy, instead this is just the beginning of something greater, if I ever manage to make it.


This try includes easily more text than any of my previous ones and the scripting is full 4 pages long. There are again pictures that require a transformation from Jpeg to bitmap

No, Mhau hua hahah!!! New Bosses
  • IMPORTANT NOTE* Some of the bosses do not work in the 20090602beta or other beta version, due to the fact that the destroying parts do not anymore deal their full max healt of damage to their mother part when destroyed. This makes at least Wheel of Fortune almost unbeatable.

Here is a pile, total of XIV of my new bosses, made after about a year of Fraxy free existence. These continue my way of building where I could not care less about timing, transformation, bullet patterns or events, just plain old good looking geometric ships and huge piles of weapons. Now, however I have many here that only take damage to the certain point, usually the core, but I that does not ruin the fun.
